SUMMER-TIE IN THE CITY
I must admit-- I don't wear ties as often as I'd like. I'm not required to wear one for work, and while a tie can really help pull together an outfit, I prefer the relaxed feel and look of an unbuttoned shirt under my blazer. However, I've been waiting to pull this 7-fold linen beauty from the drawer ever since I ordered it last winter. Now, I know I'm always talking about how beneficial lighter fabrics are during the thick of Texas summers, and even though the weight of a tie isn't a big deal, the airiness of this tie makes it perfect for a light, casual look with these linen trousers and my linen blend jacket. It's also worth noting (actually, maybe not, but I will anyway) that this is my first piece to own from the illustrious Italian powerhouse, Kiton. The brand is famous for their K50 suit, which can cost more than my car, so I stuck to this measly piece of neckwear (though I'd be lying if I said it didn't make my look feel more elevated).
So even though my other ties aren't quite as prestigious as this one, I'm going to make an effort to enter them into rotation more frequently!
