THAT'S WHAT FRIENDS ARE FOR

We are so lucky to have the friends we do.

If you live in Dallas you probably remember how windy it was this past weekend. We made an honest effort to walk around downtown to shoot at some new spots we had discovered, when all of the sudden, BOOM: west-Texas-style wind. We tried waiting it out and even tried shooting closer to buildings to avoid the wind, but it was seriously blowing in every direction.

As glorious as our commander-in-chief's hair is, it's not quite what we're going for.

As glorious as our commander-in-chief's hair is, it's not quite what we're going for.

After about 20 minutes of getting our hair, faces, and hopes beaten up by the wind, we decided to call it. So we walked home. But as luck would have it, we happened to run into fellow building resident/portrait photographer/dear friend, Jeyson Paez in the lobby of our building. He was literally escorting a model out of his studio, post photo shoot, when we told him our dilemma. Without hesitation, he said "you guys can come up and shoot in my studio".

*Prayer hands emoji*

Not only had we been wanting to shoot with Jeyson again since our last shoot, but we've also been wanting to do a studio shoot for some time now (two birds). We were definitely out of our element for this shoot, but we had a great time taking over Jeyson's space and are thankful to call him a friend.
