VACATION MODE

Okay, so it's a little premature, but I am SO READY for our upcoming trips this fall. New Orleans, Chicago, Cabo... and Mexico City.

They're all going to be great trips, but I'm especially excited about Mexico City/Puebla. We're going to celebrate the wedding of two very dear friends, and simultaneously going to visit a city we've wanted to visit for years. But more on that trip in October...

As for this shoot, I was basically after two things:

1) To channel my Mexican-vacation-mode
2) To survive this blazing Texas heat with the lightest of layers.

So what better place to shoot photos than at Ricardo Legorreta's Latino Cultural Center, downtown? The building's bright colors, simple geometries, and shadow play were a perfect complement to my straw hat, ikat-pattern shirt, and white jeans. And I don't care how long I have to wait-- you'll likely be seeing photos of this very outfit in the streets of Mexico City.
