HOTTER THAN JULY
I'm not certain, but I wouldn't be surprised if Stevie Wonder was inspired by the sweltering Dallas summers when he named his classic 1980 album. He probably wasn't... but again, I'm not certain.
Stevie aside, can I just take a moment to express how excited I am that July is OVER!?!? It's the first day of August, and I know it won't be a walk in the park weather-wise, but we're that much closer to FALL (a season during which it'd probably be more appropriate to wear this outfit). Oh, and in case you were wondering: YES, I was dying in this jacket on this particular day. But I do it for all you gents who are fortunate enough to live somewhere where the summers are a bit (or-- a lot) more pleasant.
I also wanted to mention these new beauties. I was in need of some new navy tassel loafers and thought, "surely I'll replace my suede pair with another suede pair"... Then along came these canvas stunners from the SUITSUPPLY sale. The sale is over, but I highlight these to encourage you to think outside the box if/when looking for a twist on a staple.
You'd be hard-pressed to catch me this summer without a pocket-square. I always use mine to wipe the sweat off my brow, and these linen squares from The Tie Bar are perfectly light and durable. And for $8-10/ea., you can't buy enough!
