BLUE AND BLUE AND BLUE
It's June now, and without a doubt, the color of the season is BLUE. Yes, it's probably the safest, easiest color to pull off, but that's what makes it so great. Everyone looks good in blue, and in spite of its ubiquity, we're all coming up with different ways to keep it fresh (patterns, and textures, and shades, OH MY!). I decided to intentionally go overboard and throw the blue kitchen sink at this outfit/post to show that you can almost never over-do this color. I grabbed a simple pair of navy blue pants and a solid navy blue tie as a base, added a royal blue gingham shirt for a pop, and calmed it back down with this linen (but herringbone) blue blazer. Now, the accessories are where I'd usually break from blue to add contrast, but again-- I'm trying to prove a point, people! Luckily, my navy suede loafers and chambray handkerchief aren't too loud and allow me to complete the look without going overboard.
