KNOT STANDARD: THE SUIT
It's finished! I finally have my first bespoke suit, thanks to Knot Standard.
As I mentioned in my first post about the Knot Standard process, I got to choose virtually every detail imaginable (more on that below) and couldn't be happier with the final result. As for the suit, I selected a simple dark grey wool fabric from the British mill, Holland & Sherry, that I can wear to meetings, weddings, and everything in between. For this shoot, I wanted to show off how I can wear my custom suit/shirt combo for work and after work.
FOR WORK:
What's more office-friendly than a simple grey suit, white shirt, and navy tie? The trick to not sinking down to the average-dude-look, is making sure the fit and all your details are on point. Knot Standard nailed the fit of my new suit, and I had a lot of fun selecting the details to make it my own.
I love the playfulness of the passport stamp lining I selected-- especially paired with the formality of my last name stitched inside.
Everyone has belt loops-- I figured "why not go with side tabs?" for a more traditional, yet sleek look.
Nobody will ever see this, but I know it's there.
AFTER WORK:
Sometimes it's as easy as shedding your tie and throwing on your favorite pair of sunglasses to transform your look from corporate to happy hour. Though I don't do it often, I've always been a fan of a crisp, unbuttoned white shirt under a suit. There's something effortless, yet polished about it.
So if you’re in Dallas, be sure to make an appointment to see Jesse for your consultation. I can’t thank him and Knot Standard enough for this truly one-of-a-kind suit!
