WHY MANTRAS MATTER
There are days I look at my reflection in the mirror and think to myself, "Damn Angelee, today is going to be a great day." There are also days I just cannot get myself out of bed (more occurrences than I like to admit).
I find myself wanting five more minutes. Yea, five more minutes is all I need. Pffff! Five minutes turns into fifteen, and before I know it, fifteen more minutes turns into thirty. This cycle spirals out of control and has become a habit I STRUGGLE to break. I have found a way to combat these moments - mantras.
I was reminded of how valuable self-love is. No one, I mean no one, knows you better than you. Your inner thoughts and conversations can be an indicator of how you carry and feel about yourself. Yes, words DO matter, even more specifically YOUR words. How you talk to yourself can be a reflection of your needs, your work, and your relationships.
Mantras can deliver the realness of how you feel about yourself. Here's why. You are acknowledging your needs and turning false statements into truths you will uniquely identify with. My mantra has allowed me to address the lies I have been telling myself and building my confidence to become the person I am destined to be. I've shared mine before, but I am happy to share it again just in case you need a loaner until you have found yours. Trust yourself because you deserve to flourish! Change will come.
I am worthy.
I am knowledgeable.
I am special.
I am brave.
I am uniquely me.
