THE WEEKEND SHIRT

I never thought it would come to this.

No seriously— I’ve always prided myself (and my wardrobe) on being versatile enough to go from day to night, office-appropriate to bar-appropriate without any adjustments. However, not until this summer and my love for the relaxed nature of the camp collar shirt have I found myself “dressing for the weekends” in looks that are effortless and frankly, new for me. From poolside with shorts to the downtown streets with jeans, rocking camp collar shirts has become something else to look forward to on Saturdays and Sundays.

And this shirt in particular is a special one to me. It’s one of the loudest pieces from the Aimé Leon Dore Spring/Summer ‘19 collection that I’ve become obsessed with. The shirt definitely clashes with my personal brand of subtlety— and I still don’t know how I feel about “dressing for the weekend”— but hey, if not on a hot summer day then when?
